So before I begin I made an old post about this but now after the last few years of map overhauls wanted to bring this back to attention.
So basically like the old suggestion, there will now be these large steel doors and tunnels in a few locations around the map, one being near the crusher facility in the mountains, another one or two located in the mountains on the new island added in, and perhaps one located by the planned volcano in the next expansion.
The way they work is there will now be a 3rd icon during meltdown events showing you can get 50B cash and 30 credits if you get inside one of the bunkers, so reduced reward. Reason being is the bunkers will mainly be a last resort if you wont make it or were unable to make it to the helicopter or find the boat, the bunkers remain open even after the helicopter and boat leave and there will now be an arrow pointing you to the nearest one and their doors begin to close when the announcer says “5” and they are fully shut right after the core explodes. Designs for the bunkers can vary based on location, one could be like an elevator instead of like a large door with a ramp going down into a tunnel.
Do you feel you deserve the same reward as those who made it to the helicopter? Why go for the helicopter at all if can get the reward by just going into a bunker near the facility?
How you gonna figure out a puzzle in 10 seconds? It have to be something pretty quick and easy to solve.
Just reaching them could be a challenge itself based on the various places the heli and boat can spawn. I think more a scenario where like say you’re trying to reach the heli and you can tell based on the distance you wont make it or it’s already taken off so to save yourself and still get at least some reward for surviving you drive to one of the bunkers and make it in before they close.
