Yes, it has been afore mentioned…not sure how many times. But several. Here is what I propose.. An engine swap system based on levels and tiering. Engine swapping is only available if the vehicle is tier-compatible. In detail, this means tier 1 vehicle engines can only be swapped with tier 1s, and ONLY in their tier of derby (beginner, experienced, pro) So tier 1s in beginner have their engine selection list for all of those given cars, tier 2s, and tier 3. Same for experienced, same for pro. Engines will not be swappable in the entirity, as it will ruin the balance of the game and probably destroy derby playability. Nobody wants a terrain destroyer with the SSC thrust engine LOL. But you understand? Tier 1s have their given list of engines, these engines being all the ones in that list of cars. Tier 2s, and tier 3, and tier 4s whenever they get added, if they will. Purchased via scraps of the vehicle you are swapping from, and the vehicle you are swapping to, NO TOKENS. Tokens would make it far too easy to immediately make something very strong very fast, and would threaten the balance of the game. It has to be somewhat hard to do, even for people with ridiculous in-game stats such as me. It must require work. I think this is a grand idea and I hope something like it is integrate later. I think it would be very cool. I would like to put a tesla model 3 engine in a peel lol. S P E E D lol. I hope yall like this idea. EDIT: I may do a draft on suspension/body upgrades later also. ---

this is a good idea but it hasnt aged well. I will rewrite this sometime as the game (as well as my personal knowledge and wisdom) has changed/gotten much better. I appreciate the sentiment though 🙂 ill sit down some time and rethink this but I do think it would be very cool to do engine swaps, even if its only a mutual swap (stats swap, as opposed to a literal remodel of the engine with each swap–that would probably take years to iron out) ---
