History:
The Chieftain 900 was a 1980s prototype tank developed by Royal Ordnance to modernize the Chieftain for export by improving its engine, armor, and firepower. The project was a private venture that ultimately failed to secure any orders, so no Chieftain 900s were sold, and the prototype was not developed further.
