Assist System in Derby Mode

ik its been a while since someone recommended this but please and please add an assist system in derby mode.

in every game, there are always:

  • last second ko stealers
  • respawn spammers
  • tank users

why there should be an assist system in cc2 derby mode:
as you all know, derby is the best way to grind platina and money inside cc2 however, whenever you work so hard to lower a car to 1 hp and someone else grabs it, it feels unfair. people just go around in circles avoiding cars and look for the one with a single pixel of hp left. not to mention, you could get 1st, 2nd or 3rd place if no one took that. for the 2nd reasomn, when people are so close to killing a person and they run away and respawn, thats so much time wasted like ik you can get another kill but its just annoying. for the 3rd reason, tanks always have a bullet powerup as long as they dont get their gun destroyed.

how it could work:

  • it will detect whether if a player has done an assist on a car if it was also damaged by someone else and not a wall or object

  • on derby tier 3 and 4 cars, you need to have contributed on damaging at least 15% - 25% of the tier 3 and 4 car’s health in order for it to be counted as an assist

  • there will be a new row of assist knockouts on the leaderboard that shows up on the end of every round

    • on derby tier 1 and 2 cars, the player must lower the cars health by 10% in order for it to be registered as an assist
      -each car will have a detecting system to count what cars they hit and what cars they got hit by and if they respawned

    • if you assist on a ko of a car after respawning no matter how many times, if the car goes into the water in some maps or just crashes completely into a wall or gets hit by a car and gets knocked out, if it respawns, you (and the other players who contributed to that) will still get that assist (you will get a kill if no one else hits it)

    • you only get half of the rewards from a regular ko if you get an assist

overall, this system will not work in juggernaut mode, as every person contributes a lot, and it will make derby less irritating to play.

The current “assist” and K.O system we have works just fine. It does have a few things changed though. Mainly how it works as of right now:

  1. in order for a k.o to be counted if a player gets knockout from environment, you must have hit them in the last ten seconds, and must be the last player to hit them.
  2. The mercy rule currently prevents respawns for about 8-10 seconds after getting hit. so honestly its quite fair, especially if you’ve been waiting to respawn.
  3. As mentioned, you also only get a k.o if you do fatal damage or do more than 50% of a vehicles health.
  4. Tanks only have one shot before having to collect another power up, which it usually gets taken before the tank can reach it.
  5. Assist are counted in the “Parts Destroyed” feature, which (when destroying t-3 or t-4) can actually give a lot more score if you are consistant.
  6. You dont win just off of K.o’s but score as well.
