NAME: 2009 Subaru CUSCO Impreza Concept
PICTURES:
This was a planned car built by CUSCO to compete in JGTC for the GT300 category, based on the new Impreza, but it was cancelled as CUSCO pulled out of the sport to focuse on rally and dirt trial events, and the car on the images was scrapped shortly after they were taken. These photos are the only ones that exist on the internet and they come from an issue of the Japanese Auto Sport magazine, which also hold the only diagrams of also cancelled and lost apr / Reckless Mercedes SL350, which was planned to appear to compete for GT300 in 2006. The main problems with the old Impreza was the body, as it was super boxy, the new one was way, WAY lower while also having a coupe bodystyle, and the only things the car shared with the new Impreza was the lights, grill and back, but underneath it would’ve been the exact same car with a more aerodynamic body and possibly being front engined. On these photos it shows a SUPER early prototype as it has no aerodynamic features like wing and splitters, the intakes are filled in and the windows are blacked out possibly because the whole thing has NO INTERIOR. Lastly, it would’ve possibly appear in the Tokyo Auto Salon in early 2009. All the info i got was from the lost JGTC cars video by Roflwaffle16.
